Panthers Phantom kicked off their Winter Wavell campaign in style, delivering a calm, controlled, and convincing 30–2 win that set an excellent tone for the season ahead. From the very first whistle, the team looked composed, disciplined, and fully in control of the game. It was one of those performances where every player’s hard work was visible, and the squad operated with real confidence.

The structure in both attack and defence was impressive, with the team showing maturity in their decision‑making and patience on the ball. The defensive unit applied smart pressure throughout, forcing errors and creating turnover opportunities that Phantom capitalised on well. Shooting accuracy was another standout — clinical, composed finishing that rewarded the work happening further down the court.

**Players of the Match**

**Opposition & Coaches POM – Hattie**
- An outstanding performance. She put into practice everything worked on in training, showing discipline, smart movement, and real impact across the game. A fully deserved double POM.

**Opposition POM – Tvisha**
- Dominant in the midcourt with relentless work rate, strong drives, and excellent control. She was a key link through court and a constant presence.

**Coaches Defensive POM – Theia**
- Brilliant work in the defensive circle, picking up a great number of turnovers and showing excellent timing and discipline. A huge contribution to keeping the scoreline so low.

It was a genuinely good game with lots of positives — teamwork, composure, defensive pressure, and strong finishing. The main work‑on moving forward is ensuring we consistently offer two strong options coming forward onto the ball, especially under pressure.

A fantastic start to the season. Well done girls — very proud coach moment.
