Panthers Leopards faced a tough contest this week, falling just short in what proved to be one of the most tightly balanced games of the season. It was neck‑and‑neck from the first whistle, with momentum swinging back and forth and neither team able to fully take control. Every quarter felt like a fresh battle, and right until the final seconds it was genuinely anyone’s game.

It was a frustrating result for the girls, not because of lack of effort or intensity, but because the margins were so small. Leopards worked incredibly hard to win turnovers—clean contests, smart pressure, and disciplined defensive structures—but we weren’t quite clinical enough in converting those opportunities. A few moments of hesitation, a couple of rushed passes, and those tiny details made the difference on the scoreboard.

Despite the loss, the performance itself was solid. The team showed resilience, grit, and real maturity in how they responded to pressure. The connections across court were strong, the defensive unit worked tirelessly, and the attacking end created good opportunities throughout. There was plenty to be proud of, and even more to build on.

**Opposition & Coaches POM (same): Chloe & Brooke**
- **Chloe** stood out for her relentless work rate, smart movement, and impact both on and off the ball.
- **Brooke** delivered a composed, disciplined performance, bringing strength to the defensive end and contributing consistently throughout the game.

A narrow loss always stings, especially when the effort is there and the game is within reach. But this was a performance full of promise, teamwork, and determination. Leopards should hold their heads high—matches like this sharpen a squad, and the lessons learned today will only make them stronger next time out.
