Panthers Leopards opened their Regional campaign with a tough, physical battle that demanded real resilience from the squad. After showing such spark and sharpness last week, this fixture brought a different challenge — and while the performance wasn’t quite at the level we know the girls can reach, their fight and determination were unquestionable.

The game started with a few early passing errors, and with options on the ball not always presenting clearly through the midcourt, we found ourselves chasing the game from the opening minutes. The physical pressure from the opposition made it difficult to settle into our rhythm, and the Leopards were forced to work hard to rebuild connections and secure safe ball down court.

Despite the rocky start, the girls never stopped battling. Every player dug in, absorbed the physicality, and kept pushing to create opportunities. The defensive unit worked tirelessly to slow the opposition’s flow, and there were moments of strong drives, smart movement, and determined contests that showed exactly what this team is capable of. This was **definitely a match we could win on another day** — and the squad knows that.

A standout performance full of relentless energy and grit. Whether she was WA or WD, she brought fight, determination, and constant pressure — a true engine for the team.

This wasn’t the result we hoped for, but it was a performance full of heart. The Leopards showed resilience, commitment, and a refusal to give up — qualities that will serve them brilliantly as the season unfolds.

Super proud of the effort. The spark will return — and when it does, this team will be dangerous.
