The Leopards closed out their final South Region fixture in style, delivering a confident 57–34 victory and signing off their first regional season exactly as they deserved — together, determined, and on a high.
In true Leopards fashion, it took a couple of minutes for the engines to warm up. A slightly scrappy start (classic!) quickly gave way to the composed, connected netball this squad has worked so hard to build. Once the focus clicked in, the whole team lifted across the court.
The defensive unit set the tone early, applying relentless pressure for every *“five seconds”* the opposition managed to keep hold of the ball. Their hustle forced turnover after turnover, giving the Leopards the platform to push forward. Through court, the speed and decision‑making were spot on, with players hitting space, supporting the ball carrier, and transitioning with real purpose.
Feeding into the circle wasn’t always straightforward, but the team stayed patient and smart. Once the ball found its way to the shooters, they were clinical — rewarding the hard work behind them with confident finishing. A solid lead at the end of Q1 gave the Leopards momentum, and they built on it quarter by quarter, never letting the standard drop.
This was a whole‑squad performance: disciplined, energetic, and full of the character that has defined their first season at Regional. To finish with such a convincing win is a testament to their growth, resilience, and commitment to each other.
Now bring on next season — when they’ll actually be 16 and ready to make an even bigger statement.
