**MATCH REPORT: Panther Puma vs Magnet**
**Final Score: Magnet 59 – 55 Puma**

Panther Puma headed into today’s clash knowing exactly how much was on the line. With the top of the table incredibly tight, a win could have propelled us into 2nd place — but a loss risked dropping us as far as 5th. It was a high‑stakes match, and after narrowly losing the previous meeting, the girls were determined to flip the script.

But with a severely depleted squad of just a bare seven, plus a heroic super‑sub in Susannah (fresh from a full 60 minutes for Dynamo), we knew we’d need precision, discipline, and a touch of luck. Despite the challenges, Puma delivered a performance full of heart.

Magnet came out strong, and at one point the gap stretched to 11 goals. Many teams would have folded — but not this group. Puma dug deep, fought for every ball, and clawed the margin back to within four goals multiple times. The grit, the belief, and the refusal to give up were outstanding.

While the result didn’t fall our way today, the effort absolutely did. The girls pushed right to the final whistle, and their determination earned them a crucial **bonus point** — enough to keep Puma sitting proudly in **3rd place** heading into next week’s match.

**? Opposition’s Players of the Match: Ava & Abi**
A brilliant attacking display from both.
- **Abi** was clinical under the post, sinking the goals we desperately needed to stay in the fight.
- **Ava** shone first at GA and then stepped into C, driving the ball through court and injecting real momentum into our comeback efforts.

**? Coaches’ Player of the Match: Susannah**
What an impact. Stepping in after already completing a full match for Dynamo, Susannah was immense in both GD and GK. She picked up turnovers, disrupted Magnet’s attack, and helped transition the ball safely down court. A phenomenal contribution under tough circumstances.

**? Coaches’ Player of the Match: Beth**
A standout performance at WA. Beth fed the circle beautifully, delivered safe, smart ball when it mattered most, and provided calm, reliable support throughout. A really strong game.

**A Performance to Be Proud Of**
Today wasn’t about the scoreline — it was about resilience, teamwork, and heart. These girls gave everything, and their fightback was nothing short of inspiring. They earned that bonus point the hard way, and it keeps Puma firmly in the mix at the top of the table.

Well done, girls. One very proud coach.
