The Panthers Pumas returned to court after the festive break, and while it may not have been the ideal fixture to play straight after one too many mince pies, the girls put out a performance they should be genuinely proud of. A brilliant first quarter saw us trail by just one goal, setting high hopes for what felt like a very competitive contest. As we moved into Q2, the game began to slip away slightly, but the belief and determination across the squad never wavered.

Our defensive unit was relentless from start to finish, working cohesively, communicating well, and turning over some impressive ball — a real highlight of the match. Unfortunately, Swan applied consistent pressure throughout, making feeds into the circle difficult and forcing us into a few wayward shots that prevented us from capitalising as much as we would have liked. Despite the final scoreline, the performance was far stronger than it suggests, and the girls showed real resilience and adaptability, taking on feedback and implementing changes with maturity.
