What a game!!

First game back in the Hampshire County league for our U13 Puma's and what a return it was!

We always knew it would be a tough close game, we met this side twice previously taking one marginal win and one huge defeat so we talked as a team about the need to go out strong giving 110% right from that first whistle! And they took that on and what an impact.

As a coach I could not be prouder of what the team put out today, every player made a huge impact on court- doing their jobs and giving their all on every single minute. It was great to see that the fitness work is paying off too as we didn't see any of the usual tiredness/fatigue errors sneaking in that we usually see.

Well done girls! Still a few things to work on- staying on the players- and being on them- we still feel a little uncomfortable being that close! But we tried hard to put into place what we have worked on in training- our passing most of the time was far better and accurate. Beth's vision in feeding the C in the first quarter helped us nail a marginal early lead. The shooting accuracy from the shooters today was immense- and Keira also made a great impact coming on as GA working exceptionally well with Abi.

Avas absolute dominance in the Centre third made a huge impact on the game with her being able to win so much ball and get it safely to the hands of our very on form shooters.

Shout out to Charlotte for more than stepping up into the role of GD - she owned that position today and hustled like a defensive pro!!!!

Oppositions POM and Coaches POM's today were the same- Charlotte Taylor and Ava Marshall!
