Panthers Jaguars delivered another hugely promising performance, taking a 49–37 win over Real Bedford and securing back‑to‑back victories to sit top of the table in Week 2. What’s most exciting is that, even with two strong wins behind them, you can still feel this squad is only just beginning to show what they’re capable of.

?A Performance Full of Potential

There were moments in this game where the real class, skill, and future potential of this team shone through. Jaguars are still a new squad bedding in, learning each other’s rhythms, and building those on‑court connections — but the passages of play where it clicked were outstanding. Fast ball movement, smart drives, confident feeding, and defensive pressure that forced errors again and again.

The girls worked incredibly hard across all four quarters. The effort, intensity, and hunger they showed is exactly what we talk about week in, week out — and it’s brilliant to see that identity forming so clearly.

Room to Grow — And That’s the Exciting Part

Despite the solid win, the error count gave us plenty to work on. The best part? These are absolutely fixable things, and training will take care of them. Sitting top of the table with two wins on the bounce, knowing we still haven’t seen the best of this squad yet… that’s a very exciting place to be. You can feel the improvement building week by week.

Players of the Match

**Opposition’s POM – Chloe**
Recognised for her strong attacking presence and ability to drive play forward.

**Opposition’s POM – Niamh**
Awarded for her dominance in defence, shutting down options and applying constant pressure.

**Coaches’ POM – Millie**
A game‑changing performance at GA. She created space, drove with purpose, fed her GS beautifully, and took the shots when needed — a textbook GA display.

**Coaches’ POM – Eva**
Relentless fight, dominance on the ball, and constant disruption of the opposition. She caused errors, hunted turnovers, and competed for every single ball.

**Coaches’ POM – Evie**
Outstanding defensive pressure from the attacking end and excellent feeding into the circle. Smart, composed, and influential throughout.

A brilliant win, a squad full of promise, and so much more still to come.

And yes — I hope the post‑match McDonald’s was as good as the game. I’m sad I missed out… although secretly relieved to have dodged the girls’ TikTok videos for a second week running.
