Panthers Jaguars closed out their Sister in Sport campaign with a **45–14** loss to an exceptional Starz side, but the scoreline doesn’t come close to reflecting the character, effort, and growth shown by this squad in their first year in the competition.

### ? Match Overview
Jags came out firing in the first quarter, matching Starz goal for goal and sitting only a couple behind at the break. The intensity, pressure, and confidence were exactly what we’ve been building towards, and the girls showed they were more than capable of competing at this level.

The middle quarters told a different story. Starz’ speed, strength, and clinical execution began to show, and they pulled away with some impressive passages of play. Despite the challenge, Jaguars never dropped their heads. They kept working, kept contesting, and kept pushing right to the final whistle.

### ? What This Game Gave Us
Playing a side of Starz’ quality was invaluable preparation for Regional qualifiers. It highlighted the areas we now know we need to sharpen—decision‑making under pressure, ball security, and maintaining intensity across all four quarters. These are exactly the kinds of lessons that help a team take the next step.

The biggest positive was the team’s resilience. Every player fought until the end, supported each other, and showed the kind of spirit that defines this group.

### ? Player of the Match Awards
- **Opposition’s POM – Eliza & Bunny**
Recognised for their work rate, impact, and determination across the court.

- **Coaches’ POM – Evie & Sophie**
Both stood out for their consistency, effort, and commitment in a tough match, leading by example and giving everything for the team.

### ? A Season to Be Proud Of
While the result wasn’t what the girls hoped for, reaching the **final round of the Cup in their first year** is a huge achievement. They’ve grown, learned, and shown they belong at this level.

And of course, nothing lifts spirits like a **team McDonald’s** to finish the day—well deserved after the shift they put in.
