At last, the team were treated to better playing conditions — no wind, a little rain — and they certainly made the most of it.

From the very first centre pass, the girls started with a bang. The ball travelled down the court with real flair and confidence. The attacking unit wasted no time finding their rhythm, with the shooters sinking super shots left and right. Their movement in the circle was dynamic and decisive, and the accuracy under the post set the tone for a dominant opening quarter.

The second quarter saw the defence raise the bar even higher. With relentless pressure, tight marking, and brilliant interceptions, they completely disrupted the opposition’s flow. The defensive end worked tirelessly to force errors and turnovers, limiting the other team to just a single goal for the entire quarter — a fantastic achievement and a testament to their focus and teamwork.

The third and fourth quarters followed in much the same fashion. The team maintained their intensity and composure, moving the ball swiftly through the court and converting consistently in attack. Mistakes were minimal, with only a few wayward passes that could easily be put down to pure excitement and enthusiasm.

It was an absolute pleasure to watch and comment on such a positive performance. Every player contributed, supporting one another and playing with energy, confidence, and smiles on their faces. Seeing the team work so cohesively while clearly having so much fun on court made for a truly enjoyable match. A brilliant all-round performance and one to be very proud of.
