Pantera went into the game a few players short but still in good spirits and ready to get stuck in. Having beaten Pass n Play by two in their last meeting, they expected another close one — and that’s exactly how it played out.
Pass n Play settled quicker and took an early lead, but Pantera kept their heads and worked their way into the game. From that point on it was steady, goal for goal netball. Every time Pass n Play edged ahead, Pantera found a way to level things again.
Across the court there were plenty of positives. The attackers put up some really solid shots under pressure, and the defensive end picked off some useful interceptions to keep the momentum going. The game had a few scrappy patches, but the effort and work rate never dropped — everyone contributed and kept the team in it.
In the final few minutes, Pass n Play managed to pull away slightly, taking advantage of a couple of key moments. Pantera pushed right to the end but couldn’t close the gap, finishing with their first loss of the season by four goals.
